HAC Special Giving Opportunities

DYECH Holiday Cards to Benefit Project Prevention

For the third year, the Dennis Yarmouth Ecumenical Council for the Prevention of Homelessness will be selling holiday cards created by Marieluise Hutchinson, a self-taught artist from Yarmouthport. The proceeds from the sale of these cards ($15 per box) will go to Project Prevention, a program whose funds help Cape Cod families at risk of losing their homes. Shaws Receipt Rewards

Since HAC enrolled in the Shaw’s Receipt Rewards program this past April over $940,000 in receipts have been collected. How it works: HAC collects register receipts from Shaw’s/Star Markets and the store will donate 1% of the eligible purchases back to HAC. It is an easy way to donate money to HAC and it doesn't cost you anything. Please drop off your receipts at any HAC facility or at Smith's Time Shop, 467 Route 28, West Dennis, Falmouth Service Center, 311 Gifford St, Falmouth, the Falmouth Shaw's Market on Teaticket Highway, any Cape Cod Cooperative branches, Barnstable Friends Meeting, or mail them to Housing Assistance Corporation, ATTN: Margaret Benaka, 460 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Another easy fundraising idea for our supporters: Goodsearch.com. This web site is a search engine, similar to Google, and you can raise money for HAC every time you use it. All you have to do is go to www.Goodsearch.com, choose Housing Assistance Corporation in the "Who do you Goodsearch for?" and then every time you use it, HAC receives one cent from their sponsors.
